5 GOLDEN APPLES THINLY SLICED
1 CUP (200GR.) GRANULATED SUGAR
3 WHOLE EGGS
3/4 CUP (80 GR.) BUTTER, MELTED
1/4 CUP MILK
1 CUP + 2TBLSPOONS (150 GR.) FLOUR
1 TEASPOON VANILLA EXTRACT
2 TEASPOONS BAKING POWDER
1 TEASPOON GRATED LEMON RIND
1 PINC OF SALT
POWDER SUGAR
9 INCH SPRING FORM PAN WITH BUTTERED PARCHMENT OR BAKING PAPER
RECIPE
HEAT OVEN AT 400°F
SUGAR THE BOTTOM AND SIDES OF THE BUTTERED SPRING FORM PAN. ADD THE APPLES. SET A SIDE.
IN A LARGE BOWL ADD THE EGGS AND SUGAR, MIX WITH A FORK.
ADD THE MELTED BUTTER AND MIX.
ADD THE MILK AND VANILLA EXTRACT. MIX.
ADD THE FLOUR, BACKING POWDER, SALT AND MIX, STILL USING THE FORK.
POUR THE BATTER OVER THE APPLES AND BAKE 45 MINUTES IN PREHEATED OVEN.
TAKE OUT OF THE OVEN
FLIP THE CAKE ON A SERVING PLATE
SERVE WARM OR AT ROOM TEMPERATURE WITH A LITTLE POWDERED SUGAR AND IF YOU LIKE YOU CAN DUST THE CAKE WITH CINNAMON. THIS CAKE IS PERFECT FOR BREAKFAST OR FOR AN AFTERNOON SNACK.
