CUT THE CHERRY TOMATOES IN HALF, THEN CUT EACH HALF IN THREE SLICES
CUT THEM IN THREE AGAIN, TO FORM VERY SMALL CUBES
PLACE THE CUT TOMATOES IN A MEDIUM BOWL
CHOP THE ONION IN LITTLE CUBES AS BIG AS THE TOMATOES
CHOP THE BASIL LEAVES
PLACE THE ONION, BASIL, SALT, PEPPER AND OLIVE OIL IN THE BOWL WITH THE TOMATOES. STIR AND SET A SIDE.
CUT THE AVOCADO AS SMALL AS THE TOMATOES AND PLACE IN A LARGE BOWL WITH THE LIME OR LEMON JUICE. STIR.
ADD THE TOMATO MIXTURE TO THE AVOCADO AND STIR
SERVE THE GUACAMOLE "ITALIAN STYLE" WITH TORTILLA CHIPS
