1/2 CUP UNSALTED BUTTER, MELTED

1 TBLSPOON BAKING POWDER

BROWN SUGAR AS NEEDED

RECIPE

HEAT OVEN AT 350°F
STAR TO PIT THE CHERRIES AND PLACE THEM IN A MEDIUM BOWL, ADD THE TABLESPOON OF SUGAR AND MIX, SET A SIDE.
​IN A LARGE BOWL, MIX THE EGGS WITH THE SUGAR AND SALT. 
​ADD THE BUTTER AND MIX. 
ADD THE FLOUR AND THE BACKING POWDER AND MIX.
ADD THE CHERRIES TO THE FLOUR MIXTURE AND GENTLY FOLD THEM IN THE BATTER WITH A SPATULA.
PLACE THE MIXTURE IN A BUTTERED AND SUGARES 9 INCH SPRING FORM PAN.
SPRINKLE BROWN SUGAR OVER THE BATTER AND PLACE IN THE PREHEATED OVEN FOR ABOUT 50 MINUTES OR UNTIL READY (INSERTING A TOOTHPICK AND IT COMES OUT CLEAN).
SERVE YOUR CHERRY CAKE WARM OR ROOM TEMPERATURE, IT'S PERFECT AS A SNACK OR FOR BREAKFAST. ENJOY!!
